The annual test that inspired our name, The MOT Centre has a reputation that is second to none. We offer a "while you wait" service, operating six days a week for all petrol and diesel cars, with the promise of a fair and objective opinion of your vehicle's condition, whether it be its first test or its twentieth.

If you choose to take advantage of the "while you wait" service (the average time is under one hour), we will provide complimentary coffee, newspapers and TV. Should the vehicle require any repairs a full discussion with the MOT tester is always available..

You will find that we provide a friendly, approachable service with no pressure and should small items require replacement, such as bulbs and wiper blades, they will be cheerfully renewed there and then at no labour cost. A free reminder service is also offered to all customers to ensure you remember next year.

Frequently Asked Questions about M.O.T.

If my car fails the MOT, am I legal to drive it?

If your previous MOT has expired and your car fails the test you are not legal to drive it other than to and from the testing station.

When is the earliest I can come for my MOT before my previous certificate expires?

You can come for the MOT whenever you want, however if you come anywhere up to a month before your old MOT certificate expires, we can date your new ticket ahead so that you don't lose any time on it. Therefore if you come a month before the test is due and it passes, your new ticket will run for 13 months.
